Meanwhile, Christian Educational Consortium scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 93-62 win over Varsity Opponent. Christian Educational Consortium might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 24 points or more this season.
Christian Educational Consortium's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 assists. The matchup was Johnson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Patterson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Thomas Nelson's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Thomas Nelson strolled past Christian Educational Consortium in their previous meeting on December 5th by a score of 76-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thomas Nelson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
