While losing is never fun, Cowan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Monroe Central is ranked 142nd).
Despite the loss, Cowan still got an impressive performance from Davelynn Lindsay, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Cowan bumped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Monroe Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Cowan will head out on the road to take on Knightstown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monroe Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Delta at 7:00 p.m.
