Wallace County's Eli Kuhlman rumbled for the longest rushing play in Northwest Kansas (8 Man) this season in his game against Golden Plains last week. Kuhlman scampered for 78 yards on the play and finished with 106 on the day as his team topped the Bulldogs.
Rawlins County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Quinter, 50-26. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Buffaloes.
Dighton's dynamic duo of Ryan Kuhlman and Isaac Alinor proved tough for Victoria to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kuhlman threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns and Alinor had 136 yards receiving. Wyatt Habiger helped Dighton's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.
Zach Mader was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 168 yards as the Bulldogs fell to the Knights. Brett Crist also contributed to the rushing game with 29 yards on the ground.
Luke Schemm made the biggest impact on defense this week as Wallace County topped Golden Plains. The freshman recorded one fumble and grabbed three sacks.
5-foot-8 quarterback Chase Kennedy of Hoxie is the league leader in passing yards this season with 609. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, Rawlins County's Michael Capo has rushed for 672 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Alinor. The Dighton star has 22 catches for 307 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on Quinter. Hoxie is currently in third, while Greg Woolf's team is in fourth.
Deone Horinek's team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Bulldogs. The Buffaloes came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
