Penn Cambria had won two straight games and Caden Gibbons did his part to make it three on Monday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Richland Rams, sneaking past 62-59 for which the team can thank Gibbons, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 26 points and 20 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game.
The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Nadolsky, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Richland's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Glaiden Hale, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Arnold Mugerwa was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
Penn Cambria's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Richland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
