Football Recap: St. Cloud Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

St. Cloud had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Harmony Longhorns by a score of 14-7. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Longhorns are ranked 316th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Cloud got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Dalton out in front who rushed for 153 yards while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Those 153 rushing yards gave Dalton a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Jeremiah Lattier, who threw for 223 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

St. Cloud's run defense was locked in: Harmony could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Dashawn Reese for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Cloud's record now sits at 7-2. As for Harmony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
