The Mississinewa Indians will take on the Marion Giants at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mississinewa has six straight wins, Marion has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mississinewa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past New Haven 19-0. Considering the Indians have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lilah Greer was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Amiyaa Parr-Inman and Jarrah Tegarden did most of the damage at the plate: Parr-Inman went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Tegarden went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Tegarden has posted since back in May of 2024. Jaci Crick was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Marion lost 12-2 to Blackford on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Giants have lost by exactly ten runs.
Jasmine Weaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayonna Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Mississinewa, their record is now 18-4.
Everything went Mississinewa's way against Marion in their previous meeting back in April, as Mississinewa made off with an 11-0 victory. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
