Polytech had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Mount Pleasant on Wednesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Green Knights with a sharp 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Polytech's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Mount Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
