Grass Lake has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Lumen Christi Catholic Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grass Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Lumen Christi Catholic is ranked 38th).
Grass Lake can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Hanover-Horton 28-6.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grass Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Liam Metheringham, who rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns. Brayden Lape was another key player, having thrown for 253 yards and zerotouchdown.
Meanwhile, Lumen Christi Catholic beat Harper Creek 21-14 on Saturday.
Their wins bumped Grass Lake to 6-3 and Lumen Christi Catholic to 8-1.
