While losing is never fun, Carrollton/Saginaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Ithaca is ranked 138th).
Meanwhile, Chesaning got themselves on the board against Lakeville on Friday, but Lakeville never followed suit. They breezed by the Falcons on the road to the tune of 65-0. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Chesaning had established a 58 point advantage.
Brayden Florian continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 378 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards. Florian is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Keighan Stoddard also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Carrollton/Saginaw's loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Millington and 7-1 Lutheran North (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.8% over those games). As for Chesaning, their victory on Friday bumped their record up to 7-1.
