It was a good run, but the Roxborough Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Germantown Friends. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Roxborough lost, one person who can't be blamed is Stefan Phillips. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Phillips has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sahir Smith, who scored eight points.
Roxborough's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Germantown Friends, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.
Roxborough will head out on the road to take on the Huskies at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Germantown Friends does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
