Basketball Recap: Frontier School of Excellence Takes a Loss

Frontier School of Excellence has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-46 back in January.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri was led to victory by Joachim Burton and Phil Basola. Burton posted 23 points, while Basola earned 16 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Burton has scored at least a third of Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's points. Jimmy Schleeter was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Frontier School of Excellence's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
