Vian (Okla.) took the lead for the win when
Rylee Simon threw a touchdown to
AJ Rodriguez with under a minute left in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Hartshorne (Okla.) 22-15 on Saturday.
The Wolverines came into the game allowing 7.6 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 56-7 win for Vian.
The defeat comes as a step back for Hartshorne, who notched a 52-0 victory over Gore in its previous outing.
Vian (9-0) will play a 2A District 6 game against Panama next week, while Hartshorne (7-2) will take on Wilburton also in a 2A District 6 game.
