T.C. Roberson has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Watauga Pioneers at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. T.C. Roberson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
T.C. Roberson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brevard as T.C. Roberson made off with a 69-47 win. That 69-47 margin sets a new team best for T.C. Roberson this season.
It was another big night for Jacob McGraw, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was LaRon Mills, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though Watauga has not done well against Mountain Heritage recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Watauga strolled past Mountain Heritage with points to spare, taking the game 66-52. Given Watauga's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Mountain Heritage is ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Watauga's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Railey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Keller, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and four steals.
 T.C. Roberson's record is now 2-3. Watauga's record is now 4-2.
T.C. Roberson might still be hurting after the 61-40 defeat they got from Watauga in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can T.C. Roberson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
