North Sequoia recap Nov. 7, 2012
Washington Union moved up to 629 from 664 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in North Sequoia. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Kerman 45-14.
Washington Union took down the Lions 45-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. JavinHarrison Harrison ran for 315 yards in the win.
Yosemite's dynamic duo of Joey Woolsey and Dillon Moran proved tough for Sierra to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Woolsey threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns and Moran had 165 yards receiving. Luke Blate helped Yosemite's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 86 yards.
The Badgers' Woolsey and Moran have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woolsey has thrown for 1810 yards this season, while Moran has 37 catches for 709 yards. Harrison from Jeff Freitas' team leads the league in rushing with 1835 yards.
Chowchilla's Devaughn Gaines needs only 37 yards against Roosevelt next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 181 carries Gaines has accumulated 963 yard this year.
The Chieftains led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Yosemite. Gage McAdams ran for 252 yards and caught one passes for 24 yards in the win.
