 Last Tuesday, Powell made easy work of Maryville  and carried off  a  9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by five  goals or more  so far this season.
 Their offense was hitting Maryville from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. 
 Sifa Morgan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.
 Meanwhile, Farragut faced Bearden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Farragut came up short against  Bearden, falling  7-2. The Admirals have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Powell's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Farragut, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
 Powell suffered a grim  4-0 defeat to Farragut  in their previous matchup  back in August of 2023. Can Powell avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
