Edison's Kiante Goudeau recorded the longest rushing play in Sunset this season in his game against Marina last week. Goudeau scampered for 75 yards on the play and finished with 133 on the day as his team bested the Vikings.
Marina lost to Edison 49-15 last week, the largest margin of any game. Daylan Harmeyer threw for 257 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 17 yards in the loss.
He went 24-38 with 2 interceptions.
Scott Phillips was the best receiver in the league this week as the Vikings fell to Dave White's team. Phillips tallied 7 receptions for 95 yards. Dawayne Jackson helped Marina's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 54 yards.
5-foot-9 quarterback Harmeyer of Marina is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,926. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Dashawn Gordon. The Los Alamitos star has 50 catches for 713 yards.
Fountain Valley and Los Alamitos played the most contested game in the league this week, with Fountain Valley eventually emerging with a 10-7 victory.
