The Dalles may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will take on La Grande in each of the teams' fourth playoff matchup on Saturday. Averaging 55 points per game, the The Dalles squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully La Grande's defense is prepared for a test.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise the Riverhawks and Tillamook were playing football. The Dalles took their game against Tillamook last week 58-51. Okean Green went supernova for the Riverhawks as he rushed for 137 yards and four TDs on 17 carries. This makes it nine games in a row in which Green has produced a touchdown. Not surprisingly, Green's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Meanwhile, La Grande earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They didn't even let Gladstone onto the board and left with a 14 to nothing win.
The Dalles found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 48-14 punch to the gut against La Grande the last time the two teams met in September. Can the Riverhawks avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll soon find out.
Playoff bracket for these teams
