Softball Recap: Liberty Center Has No Trouble Against Patrick Henry

Liberty Center got themselves on the board against Patrick Henry on Monday, but Patrick Henry never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ella Miller, who gave up just two hits to keep Patrick Henry off the board. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addi Zeintek, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Fuller, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Liberty Center has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Patrick Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Center will welcome Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patrick Henry, they will be playing at home against McComb at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.8 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
