After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty Christian, the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 59-55 victory over Herron. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Purdue Broad Ripple found their leader in underclassman Seth Bacon, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Bacon has scored at least 25% of Purdue Broad Ripple's points. Alex Murphy was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds.
Purdue Broad Ripple now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Herron, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Purdue Broad Ripple will head out on the road to face off against KIPP Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Herron will be home for the holidays to greet Horizon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
