The Lake Travis Cavaliers received a bit of a challenge at the
Texas Class 4A state championships, but they still managed to come away with their second straight state title.
Lake Travis dropped its first game of the season, but still managed to defeat Foster (Richmond) 3-1 in the semifinals and advance to the championship round. The Cavaliers then had little trouble with perennial 4A powerhouse Pearce (Richardson), winning 3-0 in the championship match.
While Lake Travis won its second straight crown, Berkeley Prep held off Bishop Moore 3-1 to win its third straight Florida state championship. After winning the 3A title the past two seasons, the Buccaneers
won the 4A championship this season. Berkeley Prep was ranked No. 6 entering the match while Bishop Moore was ranked No. 8. Bishop Moore's only losses this season are to the Buccaneers.

Jordan Burgess and 13 from
Mackenzie Dagostino. The program has won a total of 15 state championships.

The Leopards won their fourth straight state title with a 3-2 win over Wylie (Abilene) in the Texas 3A state championship match.
Andie Malloy had 24 kills and
Mallorie Puckett added 18. The Leopards won the tournament without 6-foot-4 middle hitter
Ebony Nwanebu, who sat out the game on a coach's decision according to Lovejoy coach Ryan Mitchell. Nwanebu was the MVP of last year's state finals match.
11. (8) Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.), 29-2
The Hornets defeated Bolles 3-0 to advance to the Florida 4A state championship match, but fell to Berkeley Prep 3-1 in the final match. Bishop Moore's only two losses this year are to the Buccaneers.

Jojo Schnabl had 14 kills and 18 digs to lead Los Alamitos. The Griffins also defeated Dos Pueblos 3-0 in the semifinals.

The Cowgirls captured their first Texas 5A state championship with a 3-1 win over Boyd (McKinney). Kierra Holst had 19 kills and Bear Bass had 27 assists for Coppell, which had appeared in the state finals only once before, finishing second in 1987.

The Panthers defeated Los Gatos 3-0 but fell to defending Division II state champion St. Francis 3-2 in the Central Coast Section finals. Presentation had defeated St. Francis in each of its previous four meetings.

The Broncos advanced to the Texas 5A state championship game with a 3-1 win over Cypress Falls (Houston), but Boyd fell to Coppell 3-1 in the state finals. Megan Mollett had 27 kills in defeat.

Marymount rallied in game five to defeat Corona del Mar 3-2 for the Southern Section Division 1-A championship. Manon Greskovics-Fuller topped Marymount with 23 kills while Kaity Edwards added 17.
