The Ansonia Chargers lost against the Seymour Wildcats back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ansonia suffered a tough 75-50 loss at the hands of Seymour. Ansonia has not had much luck with Seymour recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Indrit Peraj went supernova for Seymour, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Peraj has scored at least 25% of Seymour's points. Another player making a difference was Michael Rossetti, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Ansonia's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Seymour, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ansonia will finish 2023 at home by hosting Holy Cross at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seymour will finish 2023 at home by hosting Naugatuck at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
