Lakewood won the last time they faced Ferndale and things went their way  on Tuesday too. Lakewood walked away with  a   12-8  victory over Ferndale. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cougars.
 Katie Krueger made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). Those  hits were  her first of the season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Cassidy Wolfe was a standout: she scored two  runs while going 1-for-4. She also put up a  double, which was her first of the season.  Karly Stewart was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Lakewood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferndale only managed five  hits.

The  win  got Lakewood back to even at 2-2. As for Ferndale,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-3.
