It was a good run, but the Los Angeles Romans unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-41 loss at the hands of Manual Arts. While losing is never fun, Los Angeles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 781st, while Manual Arts is ranked 272nd).
Manual Arts' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Songhai Glover, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glover has scored all season. Devin Moody was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Los Angeles' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Manual Arts, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Santee the next time they take the court. Manual Arts will head out to face Santee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Los Angeles will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
