Meanwhile,  two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Siegel walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Blue Raiders  on Thursday.
 If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-97) Siegel actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 16-25, 16-25, 25-17,  15-11.
 Summit's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Siegel, their win bumped their record up to 23-17.
 Summit was able to grind out a solid  victory over Siegel in their previous matchup  back in August of 2022, winning  2-0. Will the Spartans repeat their success,  or do  the Stars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
