The Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS lost against the Indian Hill Braves back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Madeira received a tough blow as they fell 62-47 to Indian Hill. While losing is never fun, Madeira can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while Indian Hill is ranked 191st).
Despite the loss, Madeira still got an impressive performance from Will Manning, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Aidan Hopewell, who scored nine points.
Madeira struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Madeira's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Indian Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madeira will stay at home for another game and welcome Mariemont at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mariemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Madeira likes a good challenge. As for Indian Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reading at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
