It was a good run, but the Bryan Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their 16-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 73-36 loss at the hands of Seven Lakes. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bryan has scored all season.
Seven Lakes found their leader in underclassman Madison Carlton, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 13 rebounds. Those 35 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Shreya Jategaonkar, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Seven Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Bryan and Midway will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Midway is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Seven Lakes' road trip will continue as they head out to face Katy at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Katy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
