Seminole Ridge hasn't had much luck against Palm Beach Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Seminole Ridge Hawks will take on the Palm Beach Central Broncos at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The home team had come away the winner the last six times Seminole Ridge and Royal Palm Beach had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Seminole Ridge's pitcher stepped up to hand Royal Palm Beach a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Dylan Peek's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Seminole Ridge is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Chase Gray and Logan Latham did most of the damage at the plate: Gray scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Latham scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5. Latham also scored two runs, which is notable because Seminole Ridge is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Grady Endemann also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Seminole Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Palm Beach Central and Palm Beach Gardens, and Palm Beach Central kept the tradition alive. Palm Beach Central put the hurt on Palm Beach Gardens with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday.
Charlie Houd tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Palm Beach Central got a big performance out of Tre Stropp, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Andres Lopes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Palm Beach Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Seminole Ridge's record now sits at 9-6.
