The Pasco Pirates will face off against the Hudson Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasco is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Pasco is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Cypress Creek on Wednesday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 8-1.
Pasco saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Montelongo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hudson walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 16-1 win on Monday. Considering the Cobras have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jesse Anderson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Evans, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Hudson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Pasco, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pasco has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .469. However, it's not like Hudson struggles in that department as they've averaged .507. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pasco beat Hudson 12-9 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
