Maddie Collins put in work no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Emily Restaino made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for New Canaan, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.
