Woodson is 2-8 against West Potomac since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Woodson Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Potomac Wolverines at 7:30  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Woodson comes in on three and West Potomac on five.
 Even though Alexandria City scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, Woodson still came out on top. Woodson took their   matchup against Alexandria City   66-58.
 Woodson found their leader in underclassman  Kaylen Chilton, who  scored 31 points along with two  steals and two  blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Chilton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Theo Burke, who  scored eight points.
 Meanwhile, West Potomac earned a  59-52 win over South County  on Wednesday.
 Woodson has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for West Potomac, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
 Woodson didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against West Potomac  in their previous matchup  on January 2nd, but they still walked away with a  82-78 win. Does  Woodson have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Potomac turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
