King's Academy took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lee Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The King's Academy Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Lee Academy Cavaliers on Tuesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Lions, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Lucas Fields made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double.
Fields wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Alexander, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
