The Narraguagus Knights will challenge the George Stevens Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. George Stevens Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Narraguagus, who comes in off a win.
Narraguagus lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Machias, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Knights were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Emma Shaw was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. McKenna Perry was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Narraguagus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to Washington Academy.
George Stevens Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Pert, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Narraguagus pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for George Stevens Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Narraguagus skirted past George Stevens Academy 10-9 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
