On Tuesday, the Rock Canyon Jaguars faced the Legend Titans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rock Canyon ended up on the wrong side of a rough 62-38 walloping at the hands of Legend. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Rock Canyon has suffered yet this season.
Rock Canyon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Feiman, who scored nine points along with five steals. Sienna Pillsbury was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Rock Canyon are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-4. As for Legend, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Rock Canyon will take on ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. ThunderRidge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Legend, they will head out on the road to challenge Chaparral at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
