The Fernandina Beach Pirates posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 54-8 victory over KIPP Bold City at home. With Fernandina Beach ahead 32-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Fernandina Beach got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Naslynn Morris out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. Julianna Miller was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals and six assists.
The victory got Fernandina Beach back to even at 7-7. As for KIPP Bold City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Fernandina Beach will play host again and welcome Yulee, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Bold City won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
