Basketball Recap: Gridley's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Gridley had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-32 win over the Las Plumas Thunderbirds. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bikram Kullar was nothing short of spectacular: he posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Luis Murillo, who put up six points and four steals.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Webb, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of T.J. Thompson, who had eight points.

Gridley's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Las Plumas, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-24 win against Wheatland on the 7th. As for Las Plumas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-57 victory against Trinity on the 2nd.
