Despite the defeat, Chaparral saw an underclassman step up: Andrew De La Torre scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. De La Torre is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of JoJo Bartlett, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chaparral has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Temecula Valley, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
Chaparral is on the road again on Friday and plays the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Great Oak has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matches. As for Temecula Valley, they will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
