Baseball Recap: Garaway Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Garaway barely beat Claymont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates blew past the Mustangs 13-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Garaway is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Claymont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Coming up, Garaway is taking a road trip to face off against Strasburg-Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Claymont, they will welcome Tuslaw at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuslaw's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Claymont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
