The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mooresville, who took down 109th ranked Mooresville, 27-26. Josh Ladowski threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 117 yards in the win.
Mallard Creek extended the longest winning streak in 4A I-Meck this week by beating Hough, 28-3. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
The Blue Devils' dynamic duo of Thomas Bullock and Treavor White proved tough for Lake Norman to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bullock threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns and White had 94 yards receiving. Dondre Howell helped Mooresville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 71 yards.
The Huskies' Josh Stilley and Sanders Poff have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stilley has thrown for 1824 yards this season, while Poff has 32 catches for 698 yards. Vance's Larenz Bryant leads the league in rushing yards with 1476.
Hough's Stilley is within 176 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against West Mecklenburg.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mallard Creek takes on the Wildcats. Michael Palmieri's team is in first place, while Lake Norman is in fourth place.
Rob Mcneely's team and Mooresville played the most hotly contested game in 4A I-Meck this week, with Rob Mcneely's team eventually emerging with a 27-26 victory. Ladowski in the win.
