On Friday, Bassett are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Dan River at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
It could have been worse for Bassett, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 6-24 to Rustburg last Friday.
Meanwhile, Dan River couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-28 punch to the gut against Magna Vista last week. Dan River were down by 6-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
