After two games on the road, New Dimensions is heading back home. They will take on the Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
New Dimensions won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 81-44 loss at the hands of Poinciana. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points New Dimensions has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Roosevelt Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-9 victory on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Mater Brighton Lakes Academy can attribute much of their success to Jeremiah Pierre- louis, who scored 15 points, and Duriel Muehlbauer, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Burgos, who scored eight points.
New Dimensions' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Everything came up roses for New Dimensions against Mater Brighton Lakes Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 as the team secured a 62-10 win. Will New Dimensions repeat their success, or does Mater Brighton Lakes Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
