Walters fell to Mangum 14-62 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Walters dodged a bullet on Friday, finishing off Mangum 15-14. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose. The contest brought Walters to 2-0 and dropped Mangum to a mirror-image 0-2.
Walters will stay at home next week against Comanche at 7:30 PM. Mangum will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against Memphis at 7:00 PM.
