After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Granville, The Licking Valley Panthers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Licking Heights 23-6. That's another feather in the cap for Licking Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Trenton Markus, who rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown.
Licking Valley's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.2 points per game. As for Licking Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Licking Valley will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Licking Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
