The Berea-Midpark Titans will be playing at home against the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Berea-Midpark waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past North Ridgeville with a 63-59 victory. Given Berea-Midpark's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while North Ridgeville is ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Berea-Midpark found their leader in underclassman Dylan (diggy) Maddox, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maddox has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Clay, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Olmsted Falls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Avon Lake by a score of 74-62. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Olmsted Falls.
Berea-Midpark's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Olmsted Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-8 record this season.
Berea-Midpark beat Olmsted Falls 77-66 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Berea-Midpark have another victory up their sleeve, or will Olmsted Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
