After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sam Rayburn, the Tom Bean Tomcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They secured a 51-47 W over Celeste. For Tom Bean, this counts as revenge for the 45-37 defeat the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Branson Ashlock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. CJ Richter was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Tom Bean has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. As for Celeste, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tom Bean will take on the Tigers at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Trenton is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Celeste, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
