Basketball Recap: Sullivan Comes Up Short

Sullivan lost against Terre Haute North Vigo back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sullivan Golden Arrows took a 53-38 bruising from the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. The game marked the Golden Arrows' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Sullivan still got an impressive performance from Cooper Bock, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. The contest was Bock's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Levi Hollifield, who posted six points.

Terre Haute North Vigo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Klopfenstein, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Renn, who made all 5 shots he took to post 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Sullivan and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Sullivan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-36 victory against Marshall on the 27th. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-33 win against Greencastle on the 27th.
