Football Recap: Fort Worth Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Fort Worth Christian strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 61-52 win over the Trinity Valley Trojans. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Fort Worth Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kason Anding, who rushed for 224 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.2 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown. Those 224 rushing yards gave Anding a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Landon Gigliotta, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns.

Fort Worth Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Trinity Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Worth Christian will venture away from home to take on Lake Country Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Valley, they will face off against Fort Worth Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Trojans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
