Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Basehor-Linwood sidestepped Louisburg for a 22-20 victory.
Basehor-Linwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Vandonge out in front who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 122 yards and a touchdown. Sam Boetcher was another key contributor, rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Saint Thomas Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Basehor-Linwood, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-3.
