Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Lyon walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Walled Lake Northern Knights on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Knights back in May, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

South Lyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Walled Lake Northern, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 29-6-1 record.

Looking ahead, South Lyon will square off against Utica Ford on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Walled Lake Northern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
