Jacksonville is 0-7 against South Central since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Cardinals will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m.
Jacksonville had taken J.H. Rose down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Rampants, falling 17-3.

Lauren Weston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and 13 unearned) runs on 17 hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bailey Weston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, South Central had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 17-5 victory. The Falcons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 15-0).
South Central got a massive performance out of Haven Roebuck, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Roebuck has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Mickey, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for South Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
South Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Jacksonville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.5 strikeouts per game.
