Two dominant guards in Donasia Cummings and Jonilyah Chambers are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Trotwood-Madison Rams will be playing at home against the Wayne Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Trotwood-Madison suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 64-31 defeat at the hands of Meadowdale. Trotwood-Madison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.
Wayne suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Beavercreek by a score of 52-49. While losing is never fun, Wayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Beavercreek is ranked 45th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Chambers, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Imani Frazier, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Trotwood-Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Wayne, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.
Trotwood-Madison took a serious blow against Wayne when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 59-22. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trotwood-Madison was down 38-13.
